Boat Dock Rules
(Regarding vessels and slips)
March 2, 2019

1. Boat dock slips are strictly for the use of Association Members only. Renters are not permitted to use the boat slips to tie up a vessel at any time.

2. Boat slips are assigned by the Dock Master. Vessels may not be tied up in an empty slip without prior approval by the dock Master.

3. Boats should not be tied up to the end of the dock overnight.

4. Liveaboards are not permitted.

5. Slip owner shall be responsible for all lines, weights and connectors to secure the vessel in their slip.

6. Each boat owner is solely responsible for any damages to the dock caused by their vessel or floating dock. GIMA shall not be held responsible for any damage to any vessel.

7. With regard to custody and use of slips by boat owners from year to year the long standing policy remains in effect; that is, a boat owner will retain custody and use of the same slip from season to season until the boat owner relinquishes the slip by notice to the Association or until the boat owner fails to use the slip for one (1) season.

8. If all slips are assigned, names will be put on a waiting list. In this situation the vessel who has been at the dock the longest must be removed after 2 winter seasons to make space for the 1st name on the list, unless someone vacates a space. The second name on the list would get a space after a two year wait and on down the list until all names on the list have received a space.

9. Floating docks must be at least 12” minimum from the dock and can not be attached to the dock in any way.

For any questions regarding the dock please contact the Dock Master Steve Pieratt.
